How Often Can You Auto Sea Foam?
Set for cars and trucks that are driven regularly1 to 2 cans of Sea Foam in your fuel tank every 2,000 to 5,000 miles. For engine equipment that is used regularly, add 1 (one) ounce per gallon of Sea Foam to a fresh tank of fuel every 3 months or sooner.
Add for regular fuel system maintenance1 Unze per Gallon. Use 2 or more ounces per gallon to clean - the more you add to the fuel, the better it cleans! Add when tank is low to maximize cleaning concentration.
Sea Foam is made from highly refined petroleum andcannot harm an engine. Remember that Sea Foam always cleans and lubricates the entire fuel system in your tank!
After adding Sea Foam to the gas tank, run your truck at least 20 miles before refueling. This gives the Sea Foam time to work its way through the fuel system before being diluted by more fuel.
It cannot harm engine parts or components. You don't have to worry about messing things up by adding "too much". The more Sea Foam Motor Treatment you add to the fuel, the better it will clean (up to a point, of course). Add at least 1 ounce of Sea Foam per gallon of fuel.
Sea Foam Engine Treatmentcleans the entire fuel system(Fuel injectors, passageways, chamber deposits - anywhere fuel enters an engine). It is suitable for both petrol and diesel engines.
Sea Foam Motor Treatment works to stabilize stored fuel for up to 2 years. Adding Sea Foam to stored tanks helps fuel resist evaporation, preserves ignition vapors, adds protective lubricity, and prevents gum and varnish build-up in fuel systems.
You can leave Sea Foam in the oil longer300 miles. It does no harm and continues to clean and lubricate. This is why we recommend adding Sea Foam 100-300 miles before an oil change: Sea Foam in the oil liquefies residue and deposits so they can be drained with the old oil.
Remove the oil filler cap and pour the recommended amount of Sea Foam directly into the engine crankcase. Do not exceed one treatment per oil change interval. Drive 100 to 300 miles before each oil and filter change for best cleaning results, although Sea Foam can be added at any time between oil changes.
Sea Foam is a blend of petroleum based cleaning and lubricating oils. When Sea Foam is added to fuel, it cleans and lubricates fuel passages (injectors, carburetors) and upper engine areas (upper cylinders, chambers, pistons and rings).
Does Sea Foam clean my valves?
Use Sea Foam Spray to remove harmful engine deposits where fuel cleaners can't reach.Works quickly to clean intake valves and chamber areas. Safely cleans and lubricates critical upper engine parts. Important for modern direct injection (GDI) petrol engines where fuel cleaners cannot reach the intake valves.
If used correctly, there is no reason to change the plugs after using Sea Foam Spray. The only way to get plugs dirty is not to increase the RPM when applying the product.

SEA FOAM MOTOR TREATMENT is a quick, easy and inexpensive DIY solution to addressing the most common causes of rough engine idle.
TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
Add fuel every 3,000 miles. For best results, add it when you fill up.
Sea Foam breaks down deposits in your car's fuel system, but it can also prevent these deposits from forming. For this reason, regular use is recommended to prevent future problems. Using Sea Foam to clean your car's fuel system allows the engine to perform at its full potential.
Ways to apply higher cleaning concentrations:
One option is to add Sea Foam Motor Treatment when a fuel tank is low. For example, adding a full can (16 ounces) to 8 gallons of fuel gives a ratio of 2 ounces per gallon.
Seafoam will destroy a catalyst that is on its last legs. Whilst Seafoam is an excellent product and works very well when it comes to cleaning the moving parts of your engine, it is not recommended to be used if your cat converter is having problems due to clogging.
Sea Foam loosens and liquefies petroleum deposits that become too large and sticky to drain. Use in gas or diesel crankcases to safely clean noisy lifters and make them quieter, clean chain tensioners, actuators, VVT magnets, oil scraper rings and clean oil passages. Cleaner engines last longer!
Sea Foam is specially formulated to safely and slowly reliquefy gum, sludge, varnish and carbon deposits from the hard parts in your engine so they can be flushed out of the system. Sea Foam helps lubricate the moving parts, especially in the fuel system.
For fuel storage, add 1 ounce of Sea Foam Motor Treatment per gallon of fuel. If you're putting Sea Foam in a 25 gallon fuel tank, here's what I would do: Drain the fuel down to about 4 gallons and add a full can of Sea Foam Motor Treatment. Then drive to almost empty before refueling.
How Long Can You Drive With Sea Foam In Your Motor?
You can leave Sea Foam in the oil longer300 miles. It does no harm and continues to clean and lubricate. This is why we recommend adding Sea Foam 100-300 miles before an oil change: Sea Foam in the oil liquefies residue and deposits so they can be drained with the old oil.
Sea Foam safely dissolves harmful deposits from injectors, intake valves and chamber areas after years of untreated build-up.It works very well to overcome performance issues caused by fuel residue and deposits.
